NC leader bagged 57.14 percent of the votes cast during the elections in Srinagar parliamentary constituency while Mohsin got 19.64 percent of the votes. Abdullah defeated Mohsin by a margin of 70,050 votes. People's Conference, headed by Sajjad Lone, received 28,773 votes (15.4 per cent) while BJP's Khalid Jahangir stayed 4th with 4,631 votes (2.48 per cent). There are Srinagar, Badgam and Ganderbal districts in Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency.
